So sweet...
I've always steadfastly opposed the media supposition that the New England Patriots are a dynasty.
It feels good to read this and see that someone actually agrees with me... and he's a Patriots fan.
Now that the Patriots have gone down in flames, maybe now everyone will shut the hell up about them being a Dynasty and leave the Steelers of the 70s, 49ers of the 80s, and Cowgirls of the 90s alone.

I agree - they are no more a dynasty than the Green Bay Packers were. Win another, and possibly so.
One of my major hangups about it was the fact that they missed the playoffs entirely the year after winning their first Super Bowl. You look at the Steelers, who won 4 in 6 years and, in the 2 years they didn't win, they lost in the Conference Championship and Divisional rounds... and the Cowboys didn't miss the playoffs for 6 years, including the years on either side of their Super Bowls. The 49ers missed the playoffs in 82, after their first Super Bowl in 81, but made the playoffs for the next 8 years, including 3 of their Super Bowls. Sustained success must be had for a dynasty... and the Patriots haven't had it yet.
Don't forget the Redskins from '82-'91. Hell yeah!
